Reusable Bags - Not Just for Snacks & Sandwiches
Society has voted and made it quite clear of it's approval and dedication to using reusable bags to reduce waste and production, in addition to cleaning up our environment.
Many people think eco-friendly reusable bags can only be used to store and transport snacks and sandwiches. Because these reusable bags are more durable than cheap plastic bags, and much easier to clean, reusable bags are perfect for many, many other purposes. Reusable sandwich bags and snack bags can be used for the following purposes:
- Storing extra batteries in the car to replace headphone batteries or hand held game batteries
- Carrying crayons to restaurants
- Storing game cartridges for hand held games
- Carrying a pacifier at an easy reach in a diaper bag ??" keeps it clean and germ free
- Keeping coins or game tokens for your next trip to an arcade
- A place to store hair bows, rubber bands, barrettes for hair
- First aid kit ??" add band-aids, medicine, bug sting stick, first aid cream
- Great for holding makeup ??" can be washed easily
- Holding small toiletries such as toothbrush, travel toothpaste, travel mouthwash and shampoo
As you can see, the possibilities for reusable sandwich bags or snack bags are endless. Of course, they are also useful for what they are intended for. Sandwiches and snacks stay fresh and un-crumpled inside the bags. Kids associate their snack with their bag and automatically know which bag is theirs. These bags make kids snack more appealing and in a fun form.
One household can spend as much as $300 a year in plastic sandwich bags. Purchasing reusable sandwich bags can save you money, reduce waste in our country, protect animals and teach our loved ones environmental responsibility.Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Culinary Christmas Tree
To brighten up the cold and dark days of the winter season, I love to have fragrant plants around the house. I especially love rosemary plants! These heavenly plants can also very easily be used as your "Culinary Christmas Tree."
To properly care for your Rosemary plant you will want to make sure that it is constantly moist, but not sitting in water. Hence, the plant needs to be well drained. Rosemary plants simply do not like water around their roots, however, they will die if the roots dry out. Think of it this way, Rosemary plants like to "shower" daily, but do not like to take baths!
Enjoy decorating your Rosemary Culinary Christmas Tree and be sure to not place heavy items on the tender branches of your Rosemary tree!
